Titanium CNC Machining

Titanium is one of the toughest metals to machine, and we machine it every week. Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5) and Grade 2 CP, milled and turned to your drawing on 3-, 4- and 5-axis equipment, inspected in-house, AS9100D certified.

Quote in 48h Prototypes 10–15 business days Production 15–30 business days No minimum order

Titanium gives you the highest strength-to-weight of any common metal, excellent corrosion resistance and good strength at elevated temperature. It is also genuinely hard to cut: low thermal conductivity traps heat at the tool tip and it work-hardens fast. Fenva manages it the way titanium demands, with rigid setups, sharp dedicated tooling, controlled speeds and feeds, and steady coolant. Send a drawing and you get a line-item quote in 48 hours, one prototype or a production batch, with no minimum order.

Grades

Grades we run

Grade Type Why you pick it Parts
Ti-6Al-4VGrade 5 (alpha-beta alloy)The workhorse: highest strength-to-weight, holds strength at temperature, heat-treatableAerospace and UAV structure, fittings, high-load brackets, manifolds
Grade 2CP titanium (commercially pure)Best corrosion resistance and formability, easier to machine, fully weldableMarine hardware, fittings, housings, lab and instrument components

These are the titanium grades we run most often. We also machine other grades on request.

Capability

What we can hold

  • 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling plus CNC turning, so complex contours and multi-face parts finish in fewer setups.
  • General tolerance ISO 2768-m as standard; down to ±0.005 mm on the features that need it.
  • Surface finish to about Ra 1.6 off the machine, finer on request.
  • Thin walls, deep pockets and tight bores managed for titanium's heat and work-hardening, with DFM feedback before machining begins.

Finishes for titanium

As-machined, bead blast, brushed, passivation, and titanium colour anodizing (Type II), where the colour comes from the oxide-layer thickness set by voltage, with no dye, so it stays durable and repeatable.

Where it goes

Commercial aerospace and UAV, marine, motorsport and high-performance, and components for medical and lab equipment such as housings, fittings, fixtures, manifolds and panels for diagnostic and analytical instruments.

We machine strictly to your drawing and take full responsibility for the result.

Mini-FAQ

Titanium machining, answered

Ti-6Al-4V or Grade 2?

Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) for strength and load; Grade 2 CP when you want the best corrosion resistance, formability and easier machining.

Colour anodizing?

Yes, titanium Type II colour anodizing. The colour comes from oxide-layer thickness set by voltage, not dye, so it is durable and repeatable.

Tightest tolerance?

Down to ±0.005 mm on critical features.

Lead time?

Prototypes about 10 to 15 business days, production about 15 to 30, quote in 48 hours.
